ZFM DIGITAL + 24 SHIFTS

Every single hour of ZFM Digital is available for syndication twenty four hours after it goes to air. You have the option of a wide range of on-air shifts through the week with different shows and presenters.

Each hour is time announced so that it can be used at precise times exactly 24 hours after it goes to air on the ZFM digital network.

Each hourly segment has a timestamp indicating the date it was originally broadcast and the day part it is tailored for. This is always the first part of the filename. The second part of the filename is the announcers name and shift name. For example the filename:

19030711-John Smith (The Morning Laugh).mp3

Indicates that the segment was first broadcast (and subsequently prepared) on the 19th of March 2007. It was tailored for 11 am (the time codes are in 24 hour format). The segment is part of "The Morning Laugh" breakfast show presented by John Smith. So for example if this shift started at 7 am and lasted until 10 am; to download the entire shift for the day you would collect the files:

To collect an entire day you simply download the 24 files for the day:

19030701, 19030702…...19030723, 19030700.

You download each segment using either:

A separate FTP program with a supplied username/password OR
Browser based download in the industry members area.

If you are using CuteFTP or CuteFTP PRO read this:-

In CuteFTP. In the Site Manager, right-click on the ZFM Syndication site and choose Properties, click the General tab and check the box next to Use PASV mode in unticked. In CuteFTP Pro. In the Site Manager, right-click on the ZFM Syndication site and choose Site Properties, click the TYPE tab and change the Data Connection Type to Use Port.

If you are using WS_FTP read this:-

When you open WSFTP, go to the session to connect to your server account. When you see the "session properties" box displayed, simply click on the "advanced" tab. In this box, just make sure that the "passive transfers" box is UNCHECKED.
